At this chapter the author tells us about what happend to Hella cells. After Henrietta died, the doctors started to develop her cells for big discovering. They used them in a lot of Hospitals. They used them for making clons. But Dr.Berg chanched her name for Helen Lane. One of the vinerologist doctors inject to his patients injection without their knolege. They want to see how they will react for it. He continie to do that until his workers refuse to do that.

summary of 66-92 pages

In this part of reading the author tells us about Henrietta's sickness that is geting worse and worse. Her bad cells started to spred all over the body.The doctores gave to many kinds of pain-killers but it is already didn't help her. Dispite of this she stayed at the hospital. She was very sad when her children came to see her. This is was the rison the doctor forbid the children to come.
When Rebeca was in the hotel she disided to do her investigathion of Lack's family. At the article she read she find a lady Ms. Sdeep who wanted to open a miusian. So she had one more resurce where to find information about Henrietta. What she found was only casette of discovering immortalk cells.
Also the author findout that Henrietta's cousin Cootie real name was Emmet Lacks, and Rebecka met her and she told her about Henrieta's life. And how she helped her by giving her blood. Unfortunately nothing already helpd her and she died in October 4, 1951.

impression: When I am reading the book I am getting shocked. How children can stay with no mother.

question: Why the doctores behave meen when the said she already got the blood what was allowed?

summary of 34-66 pages

In these pages the author tells us about Dr. Gey's life and about his wife Margaret and his assistent Mary helped him to achieve these results. Henrietta's personality of being good mother and friend. She tells us abaut Henrietta Lack's cells that they didn't die.

When Mary was taking care of ll cells in the laboratory nothing was happening, but Hanrietta' cells had doubled means they didn't die. Soon Dr. Gay told to his colleagues about it. Henrietta didn't know about it nothing.

When she was gating treatments her cousins Margaret and Sadie helped her that is why she would have to tell them about her sickness. And she also said that she couldn't have children anymore.

Later the author have introdused to with Roland Potilo, the only Afro-American student of Dr. Gey, professor of gynecology. They was working together in Gey's laboratory at the time when the immortal cells were discovered. This helpped Rebecca Skloot incounter with Henrietta's yangest doughther, Deborah, after many refusals from Deborah's side. Leter she met athers members of Henrietta. After Rebeca had a lot of information of Henrietta she got shoocked about. She read her medical history where sais after many radio active treatments cancer started to spread all over her body. She was telling about that to her doctor, but he egnored. She was suffer the pain until she died.

I feel very sad, becouse it's reminded me death of my friends who died at her age because of cancer.

question:

What is the reason to get a radiation treatment if the patient will die for all that?

Rebecca Skloot's book "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" is the story of how medical researchers used The cells from the cervix of a woman named Henrietta Lacks for many years for medical research without her permission or knowledge.How this could happen and the ethical implications of this story form the basis of this shocking book.

Henrieta Lacks is the main character of the book. She is an african-american woman. She wasn't educated. She was the ninth child in her family.Her mother Eliza Lacks died giving birth to tenth child. Becouse of that her family was divided. Some of the children grew up with cousins and some,including Henrieta and her cousin Day, ended up with ther grandfather, Tony Lacks. They worked very hard at their farm of tabacoSoon when she reached her 14 Henrita and Day got married.

Everything took plase in Clover where rest of her family was sent there. It was the time of segregation while black people was separeted from white. Hopkins - an only hospital that would accept black people.She had some gynecological problems, but she refused to take care of herself until it really started to bother her and she found out something wrong in her womb.
Doctors discovered at her womb tumor it was begining of cervix cancer. Doctors touth they can find a cure for the tritmant. They tride to keep the cells they cat from other pations hopping they'll not die.But henrietta cells what was taken during the operaztion still in life.

reaction:

When I have started to read this book I was shocked. How doctores can take the Henrietta Lack's cells whithout her permition. At least they should give them some compensation.
